Here is a graffiti photo taken in Leadville, Colorado... I couldn't agree more!

Photograph near the Continental Divide, Colorado

Here is a photo taken in the high altitude ski resort upper parking lot of arapaho basin, in Colorado. Imagine living in a small trailer in a frozen icebox at 10,000 ft! I love the contrast of this simple means of human habitation, surrounded by snow covered mountains!

Signs Of The Old West Times in Salida, Colorado

Salida, Colorado was originally settled by the Ute Indians, for whom many of the local mountain peaks are named. Early in its history the area experienced an influx of explorers, miners, railroad expansionists, farmers and ranchers.
I had the pleasure of visiting Salida on March 29th, 2010, to find a quaint little town full of cool coffee shops, and funky art galleries. The coolest thing I found in the city was the remnants of old advertising still holding onto the sides of the old brick buildings in the downtown area. The feeling these advertsing murals brought about was nostalgic to say the least. Who remembers when Coke was a nickel?...or when stores advertised selling Explosives!? These are some of the final reminders that that did happen once upon a time in the West! These images are available in limited editions of 11 in 4 different sizes.

Tiki-Men Redemption Photograph #2

Here is another limited edition photograph from my Hawaii 2009 series! I am blessed to have witnessed this amazing scene on sacred Hawaiian soil! The artist that made this Tiki Man in the middle of nowhere is anonymous, but I think that adds to the mystery of the photo. This print is available as a companion print to the Tiki-Men Redemption #1 photograph! Limited edition of 11 in 4 sizes. Aloha everyone!

Ancient Petroglyphs In Hawai'i at Volcanoes National Park

Here are some of My most favorite Photographs I took of the Ancient Lava Rock
petroglyphs in Volcanoes National Park In Hawaii! These Photos were taken in the archaeological site of Pu`uloa, where over 23,000 petroglyphs cover the lava surface, like an ancient art gallery, preserved for eternity in stone. This was a very magical and powerful place, and I am blessed to have captured these amazing ancient art pieces through photography.(These images are available in Sets of 11 in four different sizes.)

The Sacred Grounds of The Big Island

One of my most favorite photographs I have ever taken, this image took six years in the making to produce, and is entitled, "Tiki-Men Redemption 1".
The story starts 6 years ago in 2004 when I decided to go hiking, camping, and photographing for 2 months on the Big Island of Hawaii. After taking a weeks worth of images, I took a long hike out to a very special place in Volcanoes National Park, where I photographed with my 35mm film, and tripod. I Photographed these amazing Tiki-men with the 35mm film I had in my camera! The Next Day, I decided to do some self portraits on the beach with the 35mm self timer. I went and laid out on the beach...arms outstretched when I suddenly heard a crash, and looked to see my camera had been blown over into a nearby tide-pool! The Self Portraits, as well as the original images of the Tiki-Men were destroyed....not to mention the camera was frozen in salt! My Photography adventure was over!
6 years later, I decided to go back out to volcanoes national park to see if I could visit the Tiki-Men and photograph them once again! After a 12 mile hike, across multiple ancient lava flows of different textures, and shapes...I reached my heaven on earth!
Yes, I brought back a camera this time, Photographed the Tiki-Men once again, brought back the camera and digital film, and this photo is the result of a photograph that took six years to make! (Limited edition of 11 prints in 4 sizes.)
